Bachata courses

Originating from the Dominican Republic, bachata is a style that is part of the characteristic rhythms of Latin America promoted in many countries around the world, but it differs from salsa, merengue or cha cha as a sensual dance style. In our courses you will discover that it's easy, enjoyable and you'll be able to dance with anyone, The predominant style of bachata we approach is urban bachata with romantic bachata influences. Intermediate/advanced level dancers also have the opportunity to try Dominican bachata steps and movement styling elements (lady & men styling).

Weekly Latino parties

In addition to classes in the dance hall, dancers have the opportunity to meet on the ring as part of the weekly Latino parties that we have been organizing for over 10 years. They are eagerly awaited every weekend, being a perfect opportunity to spend in a pleasant way, surrounded by people who share the same passion.

Over the years, we have given the most passionate of dancers the chance to prove their talent on stage, preparing dozens of choreographies for shows and competitions, dance troupes, pairs of champions and runners-up. I encouraged competition and represented Encanto Dance Academy in national and international competitions, thus putting Romania on the international map of the dance world.

The curriculum we teach in the salsa classes is purchased from one of the biggest and most renowned teachers and dancers in the field, Fernando Sosa, the founder of Tropical Gem, and is adapted to the needs and requirements of our students.

Kizomba classes

Kizomba is a pair dance that has its roots in Africa, which is why in some circles it is also called "African tango”, and the music and steps are based on semba rhythms. Although it is a fairly recent style, over time it has also received RnB or streetdance influences, giving rise to the urban style, which leaves room for a wide range of creative and intuitive movements, depending on how the music is perceived. 

During the courses we approach both traditional kizomba step sequences and urban kizz style, easy to learn and put into practice. It is a popular dance style, easy to learn and very pleasant to practice, being danced to alternating rhythms: slow, rhythmic, fast.

A key element in kizomba dance is the connection between partners, which is emphasized more than in other styles and involves physical closeness and close attention to the partner's impulses during the dance.
